Maid of Honor

Sheila may be my youngest sister, but she’s always been the voice of reason (even when I didn’t want to hear it). She swears she “hates people,” yet she’s somehow the one everyone turns to for help—and she always shows up. When she cares, she cares deeply; when she loves, she loves fiercely; and when she fights, you definitely want her on your side. She’s my go-to for advice, my partner in spilling tea, and my forever confidante. I can’t imagine saying ‘I do’ without her by my side as my maid of honor.

Clena

Bridesmaid

Clena is the firstborn sister and truly the life of the party. She was the first to introduce me to sushi, taught me how to use chopsticks, and showed me the joy of indulging in life’s little luxuries. My mantra has always been “you only live once”—and I have Clena to thank for that. Some of my favorite memories are simply hanging out at her house, something that hasn’t changed to this day. In true Clena fashion, she lives by the words of the famous Christopher “Biggie” Smalls: “Now we sip champagne when we thirsty.” She’s bold, unapologetic, and full of life—and I couldn’t imagine this celebration without her by my side.

Jacqueline

Bridesmaid

Jacqueline, the middle sister, is the one who keeps us laughing no matter what. She’s effortlessly chill—the kind of person who just goes with the flow and makes everything feel lighter. She’s always game to try something new, even if it turns out to be the most questionable food on the menu (and yes, we all laugh when she makes that face after tasting it). Her adventurous spirit, quick wit, and laid-back energy make every moment more fun. She may not be the loudest in the room, but she’s the one who brings balance, laughter, and a little bit of spice to everything we do. I’m so lucky to have her standing with me on my big day.

Best Man

I met Jon in high school after he moved to Abington from Whitman. During a time when I was still finding my way, Jon’s unapologetic uniqueness stood out. It taught me that being true to yourself is okay, even if you’re different. One of my fondest memories was being at his house almost every day after school during my introduction to live poker. The group of guys we had didn’t play much Texas Hold Em back then, but perhaps that was the baby seedlings of my poker career. Jon’s been there for me through it all—good and bad. I’m thrilled to have him as my best man, standing by me as I marry the love of my life.

Kenny

Groomsman

After finishing elementary school, I didn’t have much of a friend group in junior high until I was brought into the North elementary school circle. Kenny was in that circle, and he and I became good friends. The fact that we were both hockey goalies bonded us. My parents didn’t let me play ice hockey until sophomore year, so I never saw him as competition. He played all of the varsity games, I had all of the JV. Our shared love of hockey and other activities kept us connected, and we’ve supported each other through life’s ups and downs. Our mutual journey of redemption and second chances has strengthened our friendship over the years, and I’m proud to have him as a groomsman.

Groomsman

Bill and I go way back to the early days of elementary school. We stayed friendly through middle school, but it wasn’t until after middle school that we reconnected and spent more time together through high school. Bill’s rebellious mindset, balanced with his good-natured personality, is what brought us closer. Although we later went our separate ways, we stayed in touch throughout our college years and beyond. I was a groomsman at Bill’s wedding, and I’m happy to have him stand by me on my wedding day to share this special moment.
